PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an error due to nonlinearity by applying one-dimension nonlinearity conversion to an input color signal to obtain a 2nd color signal and conducting weight summing so that a ratio of the 2nd color signal increases as the strength in an obtained desired color signal direction as to the input color signal is stronger. SOLUTION: A strength coefficient arithmetic section 21 obtains a strength coefficient (t) in a desired color signal direction in an input CMY color space. A 1st conversion section 22 is provided with a plurality of one-dimensional lookup tables to compensate nonlinearity a color signal in a desired color signal direction. A signal adder section 23 receives both an input color signal and an output color signal of the 1st conversion section 22 and sums them with a weight in response to the strength coefficient (t). The color signal of CMY with each 10-bit width outputted from the signal adder 23 is fed to a 2nd conversion section 30, which divides each color into a high-order 5-bit and a low-order 5-bit, and they are given a three-dimensional lookup table(3D-LUT) 31 and an interpolation arithmetic section 32, in which the print color signal with each 10-bit width of the CMY is generated. |
