SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING CENTRAL GATEWAY OF APARTMENT HOUSE

PURPOSE: A method for controlling a central gateway of an apartment house is provided to transmit a dual tone multiple frequency(DTMF) tone through a public switched telephone network(PSTN), so as to open the central gateway of the apartment house. CONSTITUTION: A manager sets up basic conditions to control a central gateway of an apartment house in a central control system. A visitor inputs a signal for calling a household by using a keypad. The manager or the household makes a video call or a voice call with the visitor through a speech device or a telephone. The central control system receives a dual tone multiple frequency(DTMF) tone corresponding to a specific button from the telephone of the household, and operates a door switching device to open the central gateway. When the visitor operates the door-switching device by using the keypad or a card reader, the central gateway is opened.
