PURPOSE: An oven burner ignition auxiliary device of a gas oven range and a method for maintaining ignition temperature using the same are provided to accurately and stably ignite the oven burner by maintaining the proper temperature for ignition. CONSTITUTION: An oven burner ignition auxiliary device of a gas oven range includes an oven burner(12) installed in the inside of an oven cavity(10) of the gas oven range, an ignition plug(18) for igniting the oven burner, a temperature sensor(16) for sensing the temperature of the adjacent part to the ignition plug, and an electric heater(14) for increasing the temperature of the adjacent part to the ignition plug, wherein the temperature sensor continuously senses the current temperature of the adjacent part to the ignition plug, and drives the electric heater for increasing the temperature to the set temperature if the sensed temperature is below the set temperature.
