PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the deformation phenomenon of a casing, a floating phenomenon and the occurrence of the unstable vibration of a recording medium. SOLUTION: This device 10 is provided with a driving motor 18 for rotary- driving a recording medium 11, a driving device main body 12 having the driving motor 18 attached thereto, and a cover member 14 for regulating a housing room 16 for housing the recording medium associatively with the driving device main body 12. A partition wall 40 is provided via a middle plate 42 in the inner side of the cover wall 32 of the cover member 14, an air passage 44 is formed by the cover wall 32, the middle plate 42 and the partition wall 40, gas flowing radially outward by the rotation of the recording medium 11 is returned radially inward through the air passage 44 and, by the circulation of gas in the housing room 16, the reduction of pressure near the center part of the recording medium 11 is suppressed.
