PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a split scanning cathode-ray tube having high resolution, a shortened depth and a sufficient strength against the atmospheric pressure. SOLUTION: A vacuum envelope 7 of this cathode-ray tube has a funnel 5 jointed to a panel 3, and the funnel 5 is provided with two funnel-like cones 4a and 4b. Each cone is jointed to a neck 6 integrated with an electron gun inside. In the funnel 5, a center part 15 positioned between the two cones is positioned on the neck 6 side from a line 16 connecting a joined parts 14 joining the funnel 5 with the cones 4a and 4b.
