PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circularly polarized wave loop antenna that has such advantages as ease of impedance adjustment and stable excitation of a circularly polarized wave, even when an antenna section and a ground plate are close to each other. SOLUTION: This circularly polarized wave loop antenna is provided with a loop antenna main body 10, consisting of longitudinal wires 11 and lateral wires 12 made of thin and long conductors to form a rectangle loop, including a square loop and an oblong loop and with an antenna section 1 that has a cross-shaped branch conductor 20, consisting of a couple of orthogonal thin and long conductors provided in the rectangle loop. The cross shaped branch conductor 20 includes a 1st straight line branch conductor 21, made of a thin and long conductor that is placed in parallel at a 1st interval S1 with the longitudinal wires 11 and a 2nd straight line branch conductor 22, that is made of a thin and long conductor that is placed and connected in parallel at a 2nd interval S2 with the lateral wires 12.
