SUPERCRITICAL PRESSURE LIGHT WATER COOLED FAST REACTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supercritical pressure light water cooled fast reactor with high power preventing the increase of fast neutron irradiation dose inside the reactor pressure vessel without aiming at breeding. SOLUTION: A core is constituted of seed fuel assemblies 12 having high power and blanket fuel assemblies 13 having lower power and function of breeding of fuel. Part or all of the blanket fuel assemblies is replaced by seed fuel assemblies. Also by arranging a shield 11 around the core, the increase in fast neutron dose inside the reactor pressure vessel is prevented.
