PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup that never hinders the improvement in access speed for a desired recording track in an optical recording medium as well as enjoying advantage generated from focusing control by a relay optical system. SOLUTION: The optical pickup 10 is used in a device for optically recording and/or reproducing information on an optical disk 100 being a recording medium, and is equipped with a relay optical system containing the first lens 22a that is interposed between a laser diode 14 as a light source and a galvano-mirror device 24 and guides a light beam from the laser diode to the galvano-mirror device, and containing the second lens 30 through which the light beam reflected by the galvano-mirror device passes; with an objective lens 33 for converging the light beam from the second lens on the optical disk; and with a supporting means 22 for supporting the first lens in a drivable manner along its own optical axis. |
