<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel speed detector capable of detecting the rotational speed of a rotating shaft with accuracy even if the mounting accuracy of a pulser ring, a detecting part or the like is not so high. SOLUTION: This wheel speed detector is provided with a cylindrical pulser ring 1 rotating with a rotary shaft 10, a cup-like first yoke 2 disposed so that its outer periphery may face in an axial direction across the full circumference of the periphery of the pulser ring 1, a disc-like second yoke 3 disposed so that the outer periphery may face in a radial direction across the full circumference of the inner peripheral surface of the pulser ring 1, and a magnet 5 and an MR element 4 fixed to the central parts of the first and second yokes 2, 3. The varying cycle of magnetic flux between the pulser ring 1 and the second yoke 3 is detected by the MR element 4 through the tooth 3a of the second yoke 3 which faces across the full circumference of the inner-periphery surface of the pulser ring 1 from the radial inside.</p> |
