摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove the effect of temperature drift of a current detecting circuit and that of lot-to-lot variations in its characteristics on a load disconnection detecting device, and to reduce its cost. SOLUTION: This load disconnection detecting device detects whether a disconnection exists in a load 23 based on a detection result by a current detecting circuit 22 of a load current flowing through the load 23 supplied with power from a power supply 21. This device is equipped with a first memory means 3c-1 storing a detected current value and storing a stored current value corresponding to a detected current value previously detected by the current detecting circuit 22, a decision means 3B for deciding, based on the stored current value, whether a change of the detected current value relative to the stored current value is a sudden occurrence, and a computing means 3A for performing a computation based on the detected current value by the current detecting circuit 22 and on the stored current value, and updating the stored current value by using a result of the computation when the decision means 3B decides the change to be not sudden.</p>
