PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for designing printed circuit board and a recording medium recording printed circuit board design program with which components can be efficiently packaged and designed with high density between a pair of confronted printed circuit boards. SOLUTION: This printed circuit board designing device has an input part 1 for inputting component data concerning the position, outline and height of a component to be respectively packaged between a pair of confronted printed circuit boards and substrate interval data concerning an interval between printed circuit boards, a storage part 2 for storing the component data and substrate interval data inputted by the input part 1, a component interference check part 5 for judging the presence/absence of interference between components on the basis of the component data and substrate interval data inputted by the input part 1 or component data and substrate interval data read out of the storage part 2 and an output part 4 for outputting the result of the component interference check part 5. When it is judged by the component interference check part 5 components are mutually interfered, the output part 4 performs error display.
