PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the degradation of sound quality at the connection part of waveforms of a stereo signal without impairing naturally fixed positions. SOLUTION: A degree of similarity evaluating part 2 and a segmentation position deciding part 3 decide a next segmentation starting position where waveforms each other which are to be crossingly faded are most similar in the interval from a prescribed search starting position to a search completing position to be a segmentation starting position common to signals DIL, DIR of respective channels of the stereo signal with respect to a composite signal DI which is synthesized with all channels of the stereo signal. Time base compression and expansion processing parts 4, 5 perform a time base compression and expanse processing by respectively segmenting the signals DIL, DIR of respective channels based on the decided segmentation starting position and by coupling them by a cross-fading. |
