PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent jump-over erroneous operation of a multi-step pushbutton switch. SOLUTION: A button 61 is slidably arranged in substantially orthogonal direction of a housing in which the button 61 and a plunger 64 are arranged vertically unarably and a button 61 operation shaft of a pushbutton switch in which fixed contacts 67a, 68a, 69a of a plurality of steps are arranged in accordance with a pressure amount of the button 61 in a movable contact piece 72 and by corresponding to the movable contact piece 72. A spring force is applied in any one direction of the slide directions, stepped parts 65a, 65b, 65c hooking the button 61 in a recessed and projecting manner per operation step of the button 61 are formed inside the housing to prevent lowering of the button 61 per operation step, and the button 61 is deviated in the slide direction to release the hooking in the recessed ad projecting manner and allow pressing operation after two steps sequentially.
