PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor correcting technology capable of simplifying the correcting work of a motor in a digital printer. SOLUTION: This is a motor correcting device for a digital printer for forming a digital image every line while bringing a photographic printing paper 3 into press contact with a CRT image outputting screen 3a, and is provided with a pressure pad 4 which can be switched so as to bring the paper 3 into press contact with the image outputting screen 3a, or not to bring the paper 3 into press-contact with the surface 3a, the motor 10 for carrying the paper 3, and a control part for controlling the motor 10 so that the paper 3 can be carried by the motor 3 as long as the prescribed carrying length in the non press-contact state, thereafter, for switching the paper 3 from the non-contact state to the press-contact state so that the paper 3 can be carried by the motor 3 in a direction opposite to that in the non press contact state, and for forming a prescribed image exposed part and an unexposed part on the paper 3 in the press-contact state, and the carrying amount of the motor 10 is corrected based on the print on which the image exposed part and the unexposed part are formed.
