PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an intermediate transfer body which has high transfer efficiency, does not give rise to permanent elongation in spite of repetitive use and has superior durability by using a film formed by melt extrusion molding of an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer resin with an extruder. SOLUTION: This intermediate transfer body is an endless belt, using the film formed by melt extrusion molding of the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer resin with an extruder. A raw material for molding is melted and kneaded in the extruder 100 to a melt, which enters an annular die 140. Air is blown from a gas inlet path 150 into the annular die 140, the with which the melt past the annular die 140 is enlarged and expanded in the radial direction. The expanded molding is pulled in the upward direction, while being cooled by a cooling ring 160. At this time, the molding passes between size stabilizing guides 170, whereby the final shape and size 180 are determined. Furthermore, by cutting this molding to a desired width, the intermediate transfer belt 190 is obtained.
