PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly and effectively fix an organism tissue by irradiating a sample obtained by dipping the tissue in a fixative or the like contained in a container with a microwave, and applying a pressure to the sample. SOLUTION: The apparatus for manufacturing a sample of an electron microscope comprises a microwave irradiating means for irradiating a sample 4 obtained by dipping the tissue in a fixative or the like contained in a container 3 with a microwave 20, and a pressurizing means for applying a pressure to the tissue. That is, a waveguide 11 for guiding the microwave 20 generated from a magnetron 10 into a chamber 2 is opened so as to be opposed to the container 3. A pressurizing member 8 for pressurizing the sample 4 contained in the container 3 is provided vertically movably by a cylinder 7 above the chamber 2. Since this method rapidly permeates the tissue by the fixative and accelerates crosslinking of a protein for constituting the tissue, the sample can be rapidly and effectively prepared.
