摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image generation system and an information storage medium which can realize a realistic image that does not give a player unnatural feeling with a little processing burden. SOLUTION: Whether an obstacle OB exists between an enemy character C1 operated by a computer and a viewpoint VP (or player character) is judged (whether OB exists on the line connecting C1 and VP is judged, the movement of C1 is controlled on the basis of discrimination results, and an attach from C1 is prevented from being applied to the player through OB. For instance, the attach of C1 is prohibited or VP is made to move to an appropriate moving position. When another enemy character C2 exists between C1 and VP, VP is made to wait at that spot and waits for C2 to disappear. When C1 moves outside the visual field of the player, C1 is eliminated to prevent an attack from the outside of the C1 visual field. This system is especially effective when the motion of the enemy character C1 is generated in real time by physical simulation.
