PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make easily graspable the reception contents by converting the mail contents of an inputted mail address among received mail into a voice signal and outputting the voice. SOLUTION: Mail received by a receiving means 103 is stored as mail data 1041 in a storage means 104. Once the mail is received and stored in the recording means 104, the contents of the recorded mail can be listened to in voice through an easy operation. To listen to the recorded mail, a specific switch is operated. With this switch pressed, a reading-aloud starting means 106 is put in operation and a voice reading-aloud means 105 is actuated. When, for example, 'start' in a command area is selected, the mail stored in the storage means 104 is read out by one document and displayed in a mail display area, so that character strings begin to be read aloud in voice. After the reading of one mail displayed in the display area is completed, next contents are read out of the storage means 104 again and displayed in the mail display area, and character strings begin to be read aloud in voice. |
