PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the load of an induction heating cooker with high accuracy. SOLUTION: This induction heating cooker comprises: a rectifying circuit 2 for converting a commercial power source 1 into a D.C. power source; a smoothing circuit 3 for smoothing the D.C. power source of the rectifying circuit 2; a heating coil 6 for heating a load 24 and a control circuit 20 for controlling the heating coil 6 by converting the output of the smoothing circuit 3 into a high-frequency current by means of switching elements 7, 10 to feed to heating coil resonant circuits 4, 5 and the replaceable load 24. In this case, the control circuit 20 sequentially outputs plural different kinds of set power smaller than the rating, and determines whether the load 24 is appropriate or not according to the respective outputs. |
