COMPUTING DEVICE ON GALOIS BODY, COMPUTING METHOD AND RECORDING MEDIUM WITH PROGRAM FOR REALIZING THE METHOD RECORDED THEREIN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce amount of computations on a Galois body GF(2m) for speeding up computational proceedings and to reduce the scale of a computing circuit. SOLUTION: A computing section 16 conducts a series of computations on a Galois body GF(2m) and conducts last a division by a generating polynomial f=xm+xm-1+...+x+1, and a control section 14 takes in the remainder of the division. Thus, the number of the steps in the computational processings is greatly reduced, the speed of the computational processes is increased, and a series of computational processes on the body GF(2m) is realized with a computing circuit having a small circuit size.
