PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the attaching and detaching part of a lens cover or the like from being lost. SOLUTION: In a camera main body, a card is made to be attachable and detachable. The card functions as a lens cover by being attached to the front surface of the camera main body and also it functions as an operation means when it is mounted at the back of the camera main body or it is detached from the body. A CPU 70 discriminates the presence or absence of the mounting of the card by ONs/OFFs of attaching and detaching switches 38, 61 and when the card is detached from the body and this state is continued for a prescribed time, it gives warning to a photographer by driving an LED 16 for warning and a speaker 84 for warning.
