PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery using lithium- manganese compound oxide as the positive electrode material capable of maintaining excellent battery performance even through storage in a high- temperature environment and through charge-discharge cycles in the high temperature condition. SOLUTION: A non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery is equipped with a positive electrode using lithium-manganese compound oxide as the positive electrode material, a negative electrode made of a material capable of storing and emitting lithium, and a non-aqueous electrolytic solution. The negative electrode contains at least one of the sodium (An), potassium (K), calcium (Ca), and strontium (Sr) so that its degradation is suppressed, and deterioration of the battery performance is suppressed. |
