DETECTION METHOD FOR CARCINOEMBRYONIC ANTIGENS HAVING VARIED SUGAR CHAIN STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of easily and simply, fractionally measuring CEAs having a varied sugar chain structure, and to provide a method and a reagent capable of distinguishing a cancer based on the measurement result. SOLUTION: This detection method for carcinoembryonic antigens (hereinafter referred to as CEAs) uses an antibody specific to a constant domain of the CEAs and a protein recognizing a varied sugar chain structure of the CEAs. A cancer is determined based on the amount of the CEAs having a varied sugar chain structure. A detecting kit for the CEAs having the varied sugar chain contains the CEA binding antibody and a specific sugar chain binding protein.
