PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow one operator to write multiple external storage devices at a time and to lower the operation cost by specifying a group of logical units as an installation destination and writing the same contents at a time. SOLUTION: In constitution using, for example, a server-connected storage device (SAS), a central control means 923 of a storage server 920 updates an access control table 924 and manages logical units(LU), and also controls a group definition table update means 932 for a disk array 930. When an administrator defines a batch write group on the storage server 920, the central control means 923 sends control information to the group definition table update means 932 through communication means 925 and 931. The group definition table update means 932 updates the batch write group definition table 934 according to the control information and defines a group. When an OS etc., is installed, an installer 926 sends data to a batch writing means 933 through the communication means 925 and 931 according to an indication.
