PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color image recorder whose intermediate transfer part is small and simple in structure and which is satisfactorily maintainable. SOLUTION: An intermediate transfer belt unit 2 houses an intermediate transfer belt 3 and a first transfer roller 4 composed of an elastic body, also has a pair of rollers 16 for making an amount of nip between the intermediate transfer belt 3 and a photoreceptor 11 constant, and repeats contact with the photoreceptor and separation therefrom. An image formed on the photoreceptor 11 is transferred to an intermediate transfer belt 3 and, further, to recording paper. |
