PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve reduction in the operation noise of a cooling means, space saving, and low cost by making the cooling means for cooling the surface of a sheet material serve also to cool a detection means, which detects the position of a sheet material and various timing. SOLUTION: A photointerrupter 11 is fixed to the stay of a main body, and the photointerrupter 11 detects the position of a sheet material P and various timings via an actuator 12. Also a cooling fan 3, mounted at the front of the main body of the image forming device, is fixed to the stay of the main body, and the photointerrupter 11, and the surface of the sheet material P are cooled by the cooling fan 3. Thus, because the cooling fan 3 for cooling the surface of the sheet material P serves also as a cooling fan for the photointerrupter 11, it is unnecessary to provide a plurality of cooling fans, also operation noise of the fan is restricted to be low, and space saving and cost reduction can be realized. |
