PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make efficiently confirmable the operation of a code reader. SOLUTION: A code for a reading test of a code reader is stored (ST1). When a test mode is selected, the code reader shows the code for a reading test on a displaying part in a readable format (ST3). The code reader reads the code shown on the displaying part, and the code read at that time is compared with the stored code for a reading test (ST5). When the code read by the code reader coincides with the code for a reading test as a result, the purport that the code reader is normal is reported, and when the code read by the code reader does not coincide with the code for a reading test, the purport that the code reader is abnormal is reported (ST8). |
