PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water softening device for a humidifier to improve softening efficiency, and to provide a regeneration device for ion exchange resin to facilitate the regeneration of ion exchange resin and besides improve regeneration efficiency. SOLUTION: Since a cylinder type cartridge 6 to contain ion exchange resin 7 to change hard water 2' into soft water 2 is mounted on a cap 5 for water supply of a water supply tank 1, a water pressure by water in the water supply tank is applied on ion exchange resin in the cartridge, whereby filling density of the ion exchange resin is increased and softening efficiency is improved. Further, a support to support the water supply tank and a tank placing bed for exclusive use having a protrusion part to push upward a water supply valve for opening is situated at the cover of a humidifier. By placing the water supply tank to contain salt water for regenerating ion exchange resin on the tank placing bed for exclusive use, the salt water is caused to flow in the cartridge to regenerate the ion exchange resin, whereby the regeneration of the ion exchange resin is facilitated and besides the regeneration is executed with high efficiency. |
