PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a computer main body to operate corresponding to operation contents by operating according to display contents displayed on a remote control unit even when the display device of the computer body is in a nondisplay state. SOLUTION: When the display device of the computer main body is in the nondisplay state, data to be displayed on the LCD 71 of the remote control unit 70 are received from a host program and supplied to a USB(Universal Serial Bus) controller; 82. The USB controller 82 uses the remote control connector 5 side to transmit the data to the remote control unit 70. The remote control unit 70 displays the transmitted data on the LCD 71 and when some switch operation is done, a microcomputer 81 interprets the operation switch and generates and transmits a command to a PC(portable computer) by using the USB controller 82.
