摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the scattering point of a tracking target at a distance resolution or higher prescribed by the bandwidth of a transmission frequency by a method wherein an evaluation function is found on the basis of the correlation matrix of a frequency-corrected video signal as well as the distance up to the scattering point of the tracking target and the reflection intensity of the scattering point are estimated on the basis of the delay time which gives the peak of an amplitude value. SOLUTION: In a receiver 16, a pulse signal which is incident from an antenna 15 is frequency-converted into a video signal so as to be output to a signal processor 17. A control circuit 18 in the signal processor 17 outputs a frequency control signal to a step-frequency oscillator 12, and it outputs transmission-frequency data to a memory 19. The memory 19 stores a received signal to be output from the receiver 16 and the transmission frequency data so as to correspond. An ultrahigh resolution processor 20 calculates an evaluation function on the basis of the correlation matrix of the received signal stored in the memory 19, it estimates the distance upto the scattering point of a tracking target and the reflection intensity of the scattering point on the basis of the delay time which gives the peak of the amplitude value of the evaluation function, and the scattering point of the tracking target is detected on the basis of the distance and the reflection intensity.</p>
