PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the image of an excellent quality by reducing discharge unevenness due to the contact of a corona discharge wire and a vibration preventive member by providing the vibration preventive member brought into contact with each corona discharge wire in the laying direction of the corona discharge wire in a positionally deviated state. SOLUTION: This device is composed of plural corona discharge wires 1, a shielding plate 4 and a pair of supporting members 3 provided at both ends of the shielding plate 4 so as to lay and hold the corona discharge wire 1. Then, the vibration preventive member 6 is brought into contact with each corona discharge wire 1, and the vibration preventive member 6 is provided in the positionally deviated state in the laying direction of the corona discharge wire 1. Thus, the discharge unevenness due to the contact of the corona discharge wire 1 and the vibration preventive member 6 is not caused at the same area of the corona discharge wire 1. Also a corona discharge wire 5 whose voltage is low at a degree by which a wire is not vibrated is provided on a downstream side in a photoreceptor moving direction, so that the discharge unevenness caused by the corona discharge wire 1 of a preceding stage may be reduced.
