PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing device capable of preventing off-light in a picture display device from entering a printing lens and also a photographic printing paper. SOLUTION: In the printing device 1, light emitted from a light source lamp 8 is made incident on a digital micro-mirror device 10 (image display device) through a color wheel 9. And the photographic printing paper 7 is irradiated with the picture light with a picture displayed on the digital micro-mirror device 10 through a printing lens 11, then, the picture is printed on the photographic printing paper 7. In this case, a rotary shutter device 21 is arranged on the way of the optical path between the device 10 and the printing lens 11, and by using the rotary shutter device 21, the off-light in the device 10 is prevented from entering the printing lens 11 and also the photographic printing paper 7.
