PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor capable of improving the quality of a photographed image by surely correcting defective pixels. SOLUTION: An initial defect correction means 202 correct digital image information by using initial defective pixel position information previously known at the time of shipment from a plant or the like. A defective position extraction means 204 extracts defective pixel position information from image information obtained after correcting defective pixels by the means 202. The defective pixel position information obtained by the extraction is the positional information of defective pixels increased during the period of using a plane sensor by a user and the increased defective pixel position information also can be used for correcting an image.
