PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a display of the non-initialized data even when a reset terminal isn't provided in a display circuit. SOLUTION: This display device is applied to the constitution that a display circuit 2 is provided for generating a display signal corresponding to the displaying data stored in a display RAM 11 on the basis of a clock signal and for transmitting the generated displaying signal to a display unit 1, and when the displaying RAM 11 isn't initialized, the generation of the display signal in the display circuit 2 is stopped by stopping the generation of the clock signal.
