PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable element for a stacked piezoelectric transformer where the interface between a region where grain growth occurs and a region where it does not occur does not exist within a region where high voltage is applied, and stress breakage does not occur. SOLUTION: This element has piezoelectric ceramic sheets on whose board faces primary inner electrodes are made and which are stacked in a plurality of piles, a primary outer electrode 120 and secondary outer electrodes 121,122, and 123 which are made on the board face of the piezoelectric ceramic sheet in the uppermost layer, and a primary terminal electrode 116 and secondary terminal electrodes 117, 118, and 119 which are so made as connect with the primary inner electrode, the primary outer electrode 120, and the secondary outer electrodes 121, 122, and 123 exposed to the flanks.
