PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a noise without increasing an outer size of a recorder by placing a damping material, which suppresses vibration due to a driven signal recording section or a noise, between a microphone and the signal recording section. SOLUTION: A video camera 1 is provided with an image pickup section 3 and a finder section 4 inside of an outer case 2. A microphone 6 is supported to a support member 5 fitted to the outer case 2 and a signal recording section 7 is provided apart from the support member 5. A recording medium is loaded to the signal recording section 7 and a voice received from the microphone 6 and an image received from the image pickup section 3 are recorded on the recording medium as the signals. A space 8 is formed between the support member 5 and the signal recording section 7 and a damping material 9 is placed in the space 8. The damping material 9 is a foaming material and produced by foaming a mixture mixing a frame retardant material to an ethylene propylene rubber of a thermoplastic elastomer. Vibration and noise caused on the basis of a driven signal recording section 7 is damped.
