<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic recording medium and a fabricating method thereof capable of avoiding troubles due to dissolution of a lubricant that is to be caused by a decreased amount of floating of a magnetic head derived from a higher recording density and a higher transfer rate, a migration phenomenon caused by faster rotation or the like, and to realize stabilization of environmentally-resistance properties and lubrication properties over a long period of time. SOLUTION: A magnetic recording medium is provided with a non-magnetic metal underlying layer 2, a magnetic layer 3, a protection layer 4, and a lubrication layer 5, formed on a substrate 1, wherein the lubrication layer 5 is formed of a mixed liquid lubricant containing a perfluoropolyether-type liquid lubricant having an alcohol-type end group and a perfluoropolyether-type liquid lubricant having an amine-type end group of the tertiary amine structure.</p> |
