PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat type nonaqueous electrolyte battery excellent in low temperature characteristics and heavy load characteristics. SOLUTION: This flat type nonaqueous electrolyte battery is structured so that a positive electrode vessel 1 made of metal to function also as a positive electrode terminal is sealed with respect to a negative electrode vessel 8 through a sealing material and is composed at least of a positive electrode 3, negative electrode 6, separator 4, and a nonaqueous electrolytic solution. In this case, the electrolyte has nonaqueous solvent with a boiling point of 130 deg.C or below, and in the battery manufacturing process, the atmosphere is kept at 0-20 deg.C at least from pouring of electrolytic solution to the process of fitting together a positive electrode case and negative electrode case, so that the flat type nonaqueous battery excellent in low temperature characteristics and in heavy load characteristics and stable can be supplied.
