PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain communication not through another device such as a DSU in the case of making communication between ISDN terminals located nearby with each other. SOLUTION: A signal cable 42 directly connects ISDN terminals 30, 32. The terminal 30 generates an INFO 3 signal synchronously with its own clock, properly conduct bit operation and delay processing and transmits a pseudo INFO 4 signal. The terminal 32 receives the pseudo INFO 4 signal, recognizes it to be a regular INFO signal to extract data and transmits its own INFO 3 signal. The terminal 30 receives the INFO 3 signal. The terminal 30 extracts data from the received INFO 3 signal in a timing of the INFO 4 signal in which the INFO 3 signal generated by itself it to be synchronized.
