PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent failure of IBG at the time of data writing by detecting failure IBG and rewriting it and then prevent, during the data reading operation, non-reading of data due to the IBG failure. SOLUTION: The apparatus comprises an IBG length counter circuit for measuring the length of IBG, a disconnection detecting circuit for detecting whether there is a particular disconnection in the IBG pattern, an IBG processing circuit 8 including an IBG end detecting circuit for checking the end of IBG pattern and for supplying an interruption signal to an MPU circuit 1 and a buffer circuit 3 for holding the data without issuance of repeated request of data to the host when re-writing is required due to the failure of IBG. Thereby, the IBG condition when an interruption is issued to the MPU circuit 1 with the IBG end detecting circuit is checked, when there is a problem in the data writing, the re-writing of data is executed and when there is a problem in the reading operation, it is defined as the condition for changing the process to the MPU circuit 1.
