<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method upon returning to an ordinary operation by rapidly raising an electrode and decreasing the current of the electrode when the leveling phenomenon of scraps is generated. SOLUTION: In a control circuit 8b included in an electrode lifting device, a speed setting value computing circuit 21 is provided for gradually decreasing a speed setting value so as to meet the detected value of a current detector 6 for detecting the current of an electrode. Thus, when the current of the electrode becomes excess current, the electrode is lifted on the basis of the speed setting value so that arc can be avoided from breaking off or the current from being excessively decreased when the current of the electrode is decreased to enter an ordinary operation.</p> |
