PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide wire frame model generation method/device for easily forming a three-dimensional wire frame model from a two-dimensional picture. SOLUTION: A two-dimensional picture take-in processing means 61 takes in plural two-dimensional pictures. A three-dimensional picture generation processing means 62 arranges the two-dimensional pictures in a virtual three- dimensional space in accordance with respective coordinate planes and generates a three-dimensional picture based on the respective two-dimensional pictures. A display processing means 63 displays the two-dimensional picture and the three-dimensional picture. A cross section definition position designation means 64 designates a cross section definition position on any two-dimensional picture in accordance with a mouse operation by an operator. A cross section shape curve definition means 65 defines a cross section shape curve in the designated cross section definition position. A cross section shape reflection processing means 66 reflects the defined cross section shape curve on the other two-dimensional picture and three-dimensional picture.
