PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size of high frequency transformer by forming a coil pattern within a dielectric material multi-layer substrate using a strip line and then laminating a plurality of patterns. SOLUTION: A high frequency transformer is formed by laminating the first to third layers consisting of the dielectric material multi-layer substrate for a primary coil, and the fourth to fifth layers consisting of dielectric material multi-layer substrate for a secondary coil. Each dielectric material multi-layer substrate has a structure that a conductor pattern to form a coil pattern (strip line) is sandwiched with two sheets of dielectric material substrates arranging the conductor patterns (for the ground) at the external sides thereof. The end parts of the coil patterns 1 and 2, 2 and 3 of the first layer to the third layer are connected with the through hole 6 or the like, the end parts of the coil patterns 1, 3 are connected to the electrodes 8, 9 as the primary terminals, the end parts of the coil patterns 4, 5 of the fourth and fifth layers are connected with a through hole 7, while the other end is connected to the electrodes 10, 11 as the secondary terminals. A magnetic material 12 is loaded at the center of the coil patterns 1 to 5 to enhance the mutual inductance of the coil.
