The hopper for distributing cereals has an outlet (14) at its base (12a). This is closed by a slide (15) which has a thinner extension (17) on the side nearest the hopper with a recess underneath it. The depth of this recess corresponds to the average grain size of the cereal. An Independent claim is included for a grain distributor incorporating the hopper.
