<p>An analyte detection apparatus and body thereof is provided, the body having releasably engageable body portions, the body capable of encapsulating a detections means, preferably in the form of a test strip. The releasably engageable body portions allow containment of the detection means before and after addition of a sample foranalyte detection, thereby minimizing exposure of the environment and user to the analyte and sample, the contents of which may be harmful. The detection means may be immobilized such as by constrictions or clamping in the body. Also provided is a method of analyte detection and a detection means having more than one visible readout.</p> |
