The invention relates to directly electrically operated valve that is provided with a piezoelectric drive (3) for directly actuating a valve member (2). The piezoelectric drive (3) contains at least one piezoelectric flexion element (8, 8') that extends transversally to the direction of displacement of the valve member (2). Said piezoelectric flexion element (8, 8') acts upon the valve member (2) and at the same time is stationarily mounted in the housing in such a manner that its electrically caused flexion movement brings about the linear displacement of the valve member (2). The inventive design allows very short switching times and simultaneously a compact set-up.
