Communication memory stores temporary data received and data before transmission. Print memory receives data from the communication memory. Imaging mechanism has fixing unit and heating unit. It fixes image onto paper when predetermined fixing temperature is reached. Control unit controls data transfer and reception, and controls power supply to heater to raise fixing unit temperature to specific fixing temperature. Control unit starts heating or warm up operation when data transfer and receive starts, continues heating until predetermined fixing temperature is reached, if communication memory has free space in memory or leave free smaller than predetermined value. It stops heating if communication memory has free space larger than predetermined value, during data transfer and receive in data receive waiting mode.
