The light has a housing (2) forming an inner chamber (6) for accommodating a combustible liquid and a burner (18) mounted on the housing lid (7) with one end exposed on the exterior of the lid and a wick element (30) extending into the chamber. The burner is tightly mounted on the lid, which seals the internal chamber. An Independent claim is also included for a burner for use with a light
