A method for producing rubber modified polymer blends, wherein the following are reacted with each other in a melt at temperatures of 180-290 DEG C: a copolymer A) made of vinyl aromatic monomers and vinyl cyanides, a copolymer B) made of vinyl aromatic monomers and vinyl cyanides having at least one oxazoline or thio-oxazoline group, and a rubber elastic copolymer C) selected from the group consisting of an ethylene/ (meth)acrylic acid copolymer (C1), an ethylene/ (meth)acrylate copolymer (C2) containing at least one free carboyxlic acid or a carboxylic acid hydride functionality, and a copolymer (C3) made of olefinically unsaturated compounds and vinyl cyanides containing at least one carboxylic acid functionality, in addition to, optionally, stabilizer compounds D), fiber or particle shaped filling and additive material E) and processing agents F) .
