The invention concerns a double-sighting mirror for motor vehicles for widening the angle of vision from a single appliance, for the rear (4) as with a standard rear view mirror by means of its mirror part (1) which reflects the incident ray (6) coming from behind (4) into a reflected ray (7) towards the driver's eye (11) so that it can be perceived, as well as for the front of the vehicle (5) with its prism part (2) which deflects the incident ray (9) by refraction into a refracted ray (10) likewise towards the driver's field of vision, thereby enabling better control of immediate surroundings and preventing accidents.
